“Great, you ladies have fun, I’ll get us a picnic sorted and find a nice spot with some shade.” The Doctor smiled.
Tho they could just use the TARDIS for some shade… but he also had an umbrella they could use.
They go and get dressed for the beach. Kira and Clara take the kids down to the shoreline; letting the twins get their first experience with the ocean. It feels amazing to not be around snow.
The Doctor smiled as he watched his little family having fun. He sat in the shade as Clara was holding little Alex and bouncing him gently, letting his little feet touch the warm sea water and play in the soft sand.
Kira is holding Lily on the shore as the waves come in and lap at their feet. Both of the kids start to laugh; enjoying the water.
She smiles over at Clara and at the Doctor. It’s nice to see both Time Lords at ease and having fun.
After a while, the Doctor called them over so that they could eat the picnic.
He set out the plates and put out the baby food as Clara sat down with little Alex in her lap and a egg sandwich on her plate next to her as she took the banana baby food for the boy.
Joining with the rest; Kira sits down. She feeds Lily some of the pea baby food first before eating herself.
The doctor grabbed himself a ham sandwich and sighed softly, relaxing against the TARDIS.
“Hmm… this is nice… it’s been ages since we could just relax.” He smiled.
