“No, you just don’t get it, River! How could someone like you understand.” The Doctor snapped, shaking her head frantically. Only when she was able to calm herself down did she continue.
“You are still good, you still know what it feels like to do good. You say you love me but I am not worth that. I don’t care about any lives I take. The lives I ruin.” She sighed, “You shouldn’t be around that.”
She shook her head in frustration and a tiny bit in anger.
Good??
She was nothing of the sort… just because she learnt how to squash her insane side, so that the doctor would love her, did not mean she was GOOD. She quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her over, wrapping her arm around her waistline and kissed her.
“If you want proof, that what you think about me is all but an assumption… then… I give you permission to look into my mind… because, my dearest WIFE… I trust you with my life.” She told her seriously. It might be foolish, but she did not care one bit.
“What situation? I have no idea what you are talking about” he grins cheekily and winks at him. Not that he would ever forget himself that he had tripped and fallen onto his lips…. but now he thought about it… he really wanted him to kiss him again… but on purpose this time.
“I… I know I’m not as affectionative in this regeneration…” he sighed. “But am I really THAT bad at showing how I feel for you?” He pauses for a little while longer before walking over and wrapping his arms around him.
“Yes, Koschei, I do. I have done since the Academy.” He presses a light kiss to the top of his head.
“Nope, you’re the one with the teeth.” She winks as pulled him to the Garden. “And you will need them for this surprise.” Theta laughs.
The Garden doors slide open and she span around to face him. “Close your eyes Kosch’. Its meant to be a surpriiise~” The Doctor bounced on her toes.
“You know, you’re entirely too excited about this, Theta, whatever you’ve got planned. And why do I need teeth?”
And yet, his curiosity won out and the Master closed his eyes, but not before rolling them at the Doctor, not quite without a certain kind of fondness.
“Alright. Surprise me.”
She giggled and gently pushed him over to the picnic blanket that was put out over the red grass of the gallifreyan garden, under the silver tree and a view of the citadel – Arcadia.
She had managed to hand cook a few dishes from home and a couple of sandwiches incase she had failed in her cooing…
tho the tardis had helped her along the way, so it shouldnt be too bad.
“Oh? In that case, you might want to reconsider your approach to this conversation. If you’re going to bring up painful memories, don’t expect it to be an easy discussion.”
“No, no…. no, i’m not here to do that either.” He told him putting his hands up.
“Im… here to… well, if i was to put it plainly… surrender.” Koschei confessed.
“Its just my spleen, it’s settling, it’ll be fine … I’ll be fine.” Even tho she hadn’t actually gotten checked over properly since she woke up, saved the ship, and got teleported back to the TARDIS.
“And yes, yes you are, most diabolical~” she kissed his nose.
“HehHAH! I sincerely doubt that Walt Disney ever encountered an aggressive devourer of inorganic matter, love.”
But the Master doesn’t argue with the usual resilient determination: not so long as his beloved scratches her fingers through the follicles of his scalp and renders him a critically tamed beast.
“I think you’re Stitch and I’m that little girl … . me wandering the slopes of Mt. Perdition, wishing for a friend, and then there you were, maniacal and suns-kissed.”
“Oh? Really?” She laughs slightly kissing his forehead. “So I’m an escaped criminal who stole a spaceship and insults athourity….”
She paused realising that, the description was fairly accurate.
“Heh…” she broke out into gigging laughter. “I guess I am Stitch~.”
