It was one of those days.

Of course a normal person would not be able to see the feelings that lay under the doctor’s mask of a grin and talking a mile a minuet. Rose… maybe, Martha could perhaps, Donna most definitely would have…

He paused at the thought of Donna, his smile becoming a tiny bit more fake, before he excused himself from the person he had been talking too, an alien who had been all too happy to listen to a story about earth… and leaving the alien bar/restaurant, retreated back to the TARDIS, the mask of happiness sliding off his face, into a solemn one, not having seen the familiar face in the room, one who would have had direct view of the fading smile.

At the tardis, he stopped, key in the lock, and lent his forehead against the closed door, a tear falling down his cheek, then another and another, till he was crying silently… he was so tired of loosing people.

Now this, this was the normal thing for the Doctor to do.
Alien – Alien runs after woman, woman needs saving, the Doctor ends up grabbing her hand and telling her to run…

And the same this time, A brunet.
He grabbed her hand and told her – “Run” – Before tugging her away from the alien, quickly pointing his sonic at it, hoping that the frequency would stun it for a moment, so they could get away.

It had been another nightmare, he had plenty of course,
but this one had felt so real.

He sat, hidden, on a soft plush window seat, on the higher levels of the library, at the back, lying on the cushions. It was a place where he would go to retreat, to hide, in peace… especially after nightmares.

He hugs a cushion to himself, leather jacket on the floor, facing the ‘windows’, which showed the space outside of the tardis, where they were drifting… silent tears soaking the material.

It wasn’t often that the doctor would see familiar faces on the streets, especially ones from so far back in his past… they always seemed to sting the most the longer its been.

“Sorry, sorry, yes, hello, Ma’am? Yer Dropped ya glove.” He beamed, He wondered if she had notice that the TARDIS was standing down the street.

The Tardis stood at the edge of the console room and wondered.
She wondered if her Thief knew about the projectors, or if this really would be a surprise. She wondered if she should show up as the impossible girl or as the doctor herself… she then smirked.

And, Appeared right in front of her, making sure to be visible. “My Thief! Hello! It has been quite some time hasn’t it.” She really did like the bossy one’s face.

The Doctor was beyond excited, finally seeing her TARDIS after
everything she’d been through to get it. She looked around, loving the
new interior. Everything, absolutely everything was perfect.

“Oh this is brilliant!” She beamed happily, “You are absolutely beautiful!”

The Tardis stood at the edge of the console room and wondered.
She wondered if her Thief knew about the projectors, or if this really would be a surprise. She wondered if she should show up as the impossible girl or as the doctor herself… she then smirked.

“Thank you My dear Thief, I did try.” She called appearing on the other side of the console, having decided to stay in the default design for now. This really was the main surprise of the new desktop.
“Oh, and you’re late~”

It was days like this, that the TARDIS Found that she was the only one willing to stay by her thief’s side. No one else would and that broke her heart.

She wished she could make her hologram constantly solid, but it drained her energy so she could only do it for short times, an hour at the most, because then she would hold his hand constantly.

“My dearest Doctor, Another day of sadness? Have your memories decided to pay you a visit.” She knelt down before him, keeping her hologram in the default image, knowing how sensitive he was to seeing past companions.

Idris sometimes wondered if she had the ability to make a hologram in her console room…. and today she found out that – yes, she could.

It was quite the odd feeling being ‘physical’…
Well, she say’s physical, but she was only, but a projection of light, one bit of herself being pushed in to the physical 4th dimension.

Thankfully she was ‘ace’ at multi-tasking, so it would not do anything to her driving or ability to keep everything in her in order.

She opened her eye and smiled.
ah, so she had one companion on board, her impossible man.
She hummed softly as she walked around her console, moving the corridors, on purpose, so that Her Dearest Jack would come and meet her.

Jack was reading in his room, stretched out on his bed with a well-worn paperback of poetry in his hand. But he was also getting hungry. So he finished the stanza he was on – it still had another 4 pages to go – and dogeared the page to return to it later.

He stood, stretching out all the tiredness from his limbs, and headed out into the corridor.

Where he ran straight into her.

“Well, hello, beautiful.”

The Tardis stepped back slightly when the ex-time agent almost stepped through her. Yes it wouldn’t hurt, but it did make her loose concentration and glitch ever so slightly when they did that.

“So, I assume that you approve? I do live it when people compliment me, for i do try my best.” She preened with a smirk.
“Sorry about changing the corridors, but i wanted you to come and see my newest update to my self.” she kept it vague, wondering if he could guess who she was.

Not caring for his reaction, she started to fiddle with dials and buttons on the console, side glancing at him still wanting to see his reaction of a strange woman in the Doctor’s ship.

The TARDIS
Ol’ Girl
Sexy

She went my many names.
Some called her the big blue box.
Sometimes they even called her hope.

She had been working on this for a while..
Or was it years? Centuries? days?
Obviously she still wasn’t that good with tenses.

She opened her eyes to see her new console room.
It was the latest for her thief, who was now a pretty blond…
But this hologram was also a gift for her, a gift that was long overdue.

THIEF!!! THIEF!! WHERES MY THIEF!!” She yelled down the corridor, making them straight so that it carried her scream further. Of course, she mused with a smirk, she knew where her thief was, it was just fun to scream something so familiar, the very first thing she had shouted when she met her thief back in his bow-tie wearing body.

“Oi! Who you callin’ THIEF!” the Doctor shot back, instantly affronted even though it was a valid title. Actually, because it was a valid title, she was affronted. But that nose scrunch immediately disappeared, instead her eyes went comically wide. “Hold oop, only one person calls me their thief – my TARDIS!”

You! Im Calling You, Thief.” The holographic form of the TARDIS’s Interface appears right in front of the Doctor.

“Mainly because you are and that is my name for you
But never mind that, I think this is where i say SURPRISE.”

The woman spreads her arms out with a smile.
“Do you like it? I incorporated holograms into the new design so we can interact… you, my dear Doctor, are very lucky that i can multi-task, but i can only do so when not in flight.”
