@drapetxmaniia sent: “we keep drifting back together; it’s like the universe never wants us to be apart… and you know what… nor do I.”
Jack grinned, taking her hand. “Well, might be easier if we stopped running opposite directions, you know,” he teased. “I’m certainly not gonna argue with the universe.”
The Doctor Laughed. She couldn’t help it, Jack just seemed to always know what to say to keep her spirit up. Suddenly she pulled him into a hug, standing on her toes to reach far enough and wrapped her arms around his neck.
“You’re Right, im not going to argue with it either, cause, i think i’m ready to stop running now… i mean, i think i was just scared, before now i mean…” she said quietly into his shoulder.
“But i want.. no i need you to know…. Jack… i…” she swallowed, a bolt of fear racing down her spine making her stop talking for a moment…
She then took a deep breath, reminded herself that he was immortal, that he would never leaved her, because he physically couldn’t and turned her head to his ear, whispering 3 words.
Really; what goes into his mind when he does stupid stunts like that?
“Yes, well… lucky is one of my middle names, you should know that.” he huffed and stood up. it wasnt often that he made such a risk and for it to actually WORK…
The Mer-child, Aquata, gave the woman a weak smile from inside the glass container, it had a metal lid on it with air holes and it was locked shut. “The- the Human sailors m-miss… i- i cant get the lid off… i- i didn’t think they would see me, i just wanted to have a look at what the surface looked like…” she whimpered, pushing on the lid to show that it wouldn’t budge.
“But…. Father always said, in his stories, that The Doctor was a man…” The girl was confused as she looked at this woman who had introduced herself as The Doctor.
“Does that mean your species can change their shape?”
Or was the blonde lying… she was even hesitant to introduce herself incase she was… If this woman was the Doctor, then she would know who she was… unless it was a future Doctor who saved her kingdom back then, for she remembered her father mentioning time travel to her as well.
Aquata pursed her lips and straightened her spine, suddenly letting herself put on the role she had been born into, the Princess of The Murma.
She had no idea who this TORCHWOOD was. But apparently they knew that she wasn’t human…. and she did not like it…
At least they weren’t demanding for her to get of the planet… yet… Anyways they had no right, not when her kind had been living on earth for over 3000 years… with permission of the Protector of Earth.
Even then this man wouldn’t hurt a girl who looked 16 but was just a child in her species eyes… would he?
(not that he knew what kind of species she was just yet.)
“So… Just a check up and a talk.. Nothing more, right? Cause, if somethinghappens to me, my father wont be pleased… and nor will HE, the protector of Earth… he was at my naming ceremony you know, missed the birth…” Torchwood should know who HE was right? HE was the one keeping this planet safe from those beyond this galaxy.
Aquata frowned. She wasn’t supposed to have any visitors today. Her Family wouldn’t be coming for some time, and she would only be going back to visit on her brother’s birthday… Hell the social workers had finally backed off when she managed to ‘proove’ that she had been over 18, having put her fake information into the system…
Tho by ‘Mermaid’ standards she was barely 16. Gosh she hated the word mermaid… it was Murma. No matter what kind. Legendary or Disney… they both were stupid. Tho Disney and H2O-J.A.W were the closest to being correct.
“Hello?” she asked peeking out through the crack in the door. “Can i help you, ma’am?”
She wasn’t sure why she was upset. perhaps it was just loneliness… But she felt like she just needed a hug.
Dressed in PJ’s, She took a deep breath and knocked on Jack’s bedroom door. “Sorry… sorry for waking you… i-….” she apologised looking down and then back up, giving him a watery smile.
“Can I- …never mind its, its silly… sorry…” she mumbled, starting to move away to retreat back to her room.
The Doctor Sighed. He was sat on the Cardiff bay, looking out into the harbour, practically just like he had been while he lived with the ponds and the invasion of the small cubes.
“…Im running towards them, before they flair and fade forever…” he remembers telling Amy and groans, rubbing his face. He had lost her and Rory, River was on her way to dying at the library and this Clara woman was no where to be found… if she even existed…
He laughs bitterly. “Whats even the point of it all…!” he says out loud, asking the universe, not caring who heard.
