“Well i asked once, its not like asking twice will make a difference. she said she had to look after her boyfriend Ricky and ‘er mum.” He shrugs.

Its not like he wasn’t used to people saying no.

The Doctor was confused. Strike that, she was very confused. What was even going on? Was this some sort of alternate version or had things been changed without her knowing?

“Ricky? Whose Ricky? I thought his name was Micky?” She scratched her head, still puzzled, “Funny, none of that happened to me… Unless it did and I don’t remember…?”

“You are here… there’s been plenty of that, when we meet our self we tend to forget afterwards.” He points out. “So thats why you cant remember.”

He stiffens at the contact and then frowns at the mention of the would have been companion.

“Rose? She said no, remember, she didn’t want to come, you remember that… why?” Why did she have to bring it up? he was a bit upset over the fact that she said no, but it was better that way, less chance of her getting hurt.

The Doctor backed away, surprised by the answer she got. Definitely not the one she expected to get.

“Rose said no? What do you mean she said no?” Was this some sort of alternate reality thing? Or had something changed that she wasn’t aware of. “You’re joking, right?”

The Doctor tilts his head at her and then squints.
“You wha’? Have we met? I usually don’t forget a face.”

“Wait.. being- are you me? …Oh great, look at ya, gone all pretty and full of sunshine, what are ya’ like.” he sighed.

“I’m the latest you, of course! Took a few regenerations to get here though!” She beamed as she suddenly hugged her younger self. “Oh it’s been so long since I saw this face! Say, where’s rose?”
