“Yup! I’ll see you home in… about 20 minuets.” he grinned. Perhaps this is what it would feel like if they had still been stuck around that black hole.
“Don’t forget anything!” She called out, before hanging up on him.
“I wont…” he grumbled and set off to get everything was needed.
An hour later he was getting into the car and it didnt take too long before he was opening the door to their home.
He grumbled under his breath. “Roooose! come oooon!” He finally wines. “Plus… *sigh* thats who i was… i’m technically non of that now… im just… *sigh*” he sighed “Dr John Smith, really clever half-human, who knows way too much and has a growing tardis at home.” It was clear that even 2 years in he was still not dealing too well with this and didn’t see himself as the real doctor anymore.
“We’ve been over this a whole lot, you know.” At that, Rose let out a small sigh. “You’re still practically the same person. Just a bit more human.”
She only paused for a few moments, before speaking once more. “And like you said! Really clever half-human. A really clever person who can’t remember a single shopping list.”
He groaned. “Okay! you’ve had a laugh and made your point… now… can you please tell me what we need now? Or ill just end up coming home with things that ive guessed that we need.”
“No!” Her voice was rather quick, speaking up as he mentioned guessing what they needed. “D’you have a pen and paper? I’ll just tell you what we need.”
The Doctor quickly pulled out the scrap of paper he found in his pocket and the pen that he had with him. “Yup, ready when you are.”
Nodding(although she knew the other couldn’t see it), Rose repeated back everything that they needed. “You got that down?”

“Okay, so… what did you say you wanted again? Ive um… Ive lost the shopping list…”
From the other end of the phone, Rose stayed silent for a few moments, before breaking out into laughter. “You forgot already?”
“Oi! No! don’t laugh! Hey! Yes, i forgot, okay, Human mind now, and with my attention span its not good…” You could practically hear the pout in his voice.
“Sorry, sorry,” Rose tried to stifle her laughter, clearing her throat. “It’s just… Defender of the Earth. Saver of worlds. Makes grown men tremble, absolute genius… and you lost a shopping list.”
