A laugh suddenly left his mouth in reaction to what the time agent had asked him.
“A date? Are you asking me on a date?”
But the laugh wasn’t a happy laugh, it was one of surprise, surprise at the audacity that Jack had to even ask him after running off for 3 months, without even a good bye or when he would be back.
He shook his head slowly a bitter smile on his face.
“I don’t think I can, I don’t think I can put myself through that… I know Im a danger to myself, but not to that degree.” He gave a short bitter laugh.
Smirking, the Master waited till The Doctor complied and closed his eyes, before rather gently cupping the back of the taller man’s neck and kissed him on the lips like he said he would.. only pulling back minuets later, licking his lips.
“Really, kiddo?” Tony asks incredulously, even as he can’t quite keep the quiet laugh out of his voice. With an exasperated roll of eyes, he digs out a handful of candy for Peter just as he has done for the other kids who have stopped by the tower, despite Pepper’s attempts to suggest he only hand out a piece or two to each kid. What’s the point of having all this money if he can’t spoil a few kids at Halloween, after all?
“There’ll be more up in the penthouse later if you want to stop by,” he offers quietly. While everyone in the tower lobby probably recognises Peter as his intern, he intends on keeping the party later that evening to just those he considers family and close friends, and the kid is certainly part of that elite group. “Let your Aunt May know she’s invited too, of course. You guys can crash in one of the guest rooms, or Happy can drive you home after.”
Dropping the candy into Peter’s bag, he gives him a grin as he says, “Happy Halloween, kid.”
Peter’s eyes widen and he beams at the older man.
“Oh! wow! thanks Mr Stark!” He then quickly lowered his voice, realising how loud he had been.
“Ill be sure to tell Aunt May! I’m sure she would love to come with me… any particular time or should we just come over after i’m done?”
He was sure that he would just put his stash under his bed and then quickly change into his other ‘Costume’, when he got home –
a shirt that literally just says ‘Error 404 – costume not found’ with a glitched/pixelated arc reactor in the middle.
“Theta Sigma,” the Master greets the Doctor, with feigned propriety, and then he snatches her around the waist, and pulls her close, with a hungry grin.
He waits for her to reply.
And waits.
And waits.
And sips his cocoa.
And kisses her nose.
And waits.
“Yes, Hearts, so I gathered. Hi.”
Theta’s Grin widens at the kiss to her nose. “Hows the Hot chocolate?” She asked, one hand on his chest, the other around the back of his neck, so that she was more comfortable.
She would let him wait a little bit before she would return the kiss, Of course there was no way she would stop him from kissing her again, the sap, but thats what she loved about him.
“How are you? I myself have missed you.”
“Also, i maaaay have been to 1955 America while trying to get Yaz, Ryan and Graham back home… Wasn’t going to stay… buuuut… yeah, somethin’ made me…” She was clearly not telling the whole story.
“Oi, first off, I don’t do Halloween. Secondly, who the hell do you think you are,?” Dark muttered to the woman as he very quickly sat the box of chocolates down. “And where did you come from?”
“Im YOU, you numpty!” She is still grinning despite his grumpy attitude. “and thats no fun! Don’t tell me you’ve started to hatesweets as well.”
She sets her hands on her his and leans forward slightly. “You’re all tense! Loosen up! Its now the season of scaring kids! and dressing up and other stuff that this holiday has become, because it wasn’t originally like this~” she pokes his shoulder gently.
“Unless you much prefer to watch some ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ or ‘Beetlejuice’.” She starts to hum ‘This is halloween’.
Lily-Mo’s eyes widened and she rushed over to him and hugged him around his neck.
“Because your My Da… my daddy, my hero, the saviour of the world… and you’ve proven that you’re NOTHING like I thought or imagined you could be… Dad… you’re the little link that I’ve been missing and I never knew that I had been.” She mumbled, wishing she could be at least her 5 year old self, who had still believed that her daddy would return home to mommy.
“Love you forever Dad.” She promised, because they both had that long.
The Archivists eyebrow raised up at his question and stops putting the books back on the book shelf, a worried frown appearing on the time lady’s face.
She doesn’t answer him straight away and walks over to sit down next to him, leaning against him and wrapped her arms around him, being small enough to get under his arm.
“Because you are the best thing that happened to me. Because without you, I doubt I would have ever opened that watch, because you give me meaning to my long life, now that I’ve lost my planet and my Archive… Jack.. you even gave me a job along side Ianto in the Archives.” She smiled up at him and kissed his cheek.
“Right! Amy! Rory! Don’t panic, but the TARDIS controls have gone wonky. She complains about the fact there’s another TARDIS on the planet and she only does that is it’s me…”
“So what? Another you is on this planet?” Rory asked curiosity shining in his eyes.
“Could be, tho I don’t think it’s a past one, unless we actually met and the timeline is out of sync…. hate when that happens, cause I end up forgetting the whole adventure…”
“So… we will only remember?”
“Yes Amy, you and Rory will remember this, I probably won’t… we should really just leave…”
“Aw come on! Let’s go meet another you! Imagine how fun it would be!” The Ginger pleaded giving him then puppy eye.
Eleven cringes and sighs. “Oh alright… but don’t get attached!” he warns as he parks his TARDIS, allowing the Scott to run to the door.
A knock at the door. Well, that explained why she didn’t remember. It wasn’t just the years blurring details. Her old self just had to be nosy, didn’t he? They might have gone on their mutual ways, quite nicely, and each gotten to remember everything. Unless this was a future Doctor, and she was the one in for forgetting… The Doctor spun around as another knock came at the door.
That wasn’t her, she would have just walked right in. This was… This was one of her friends – names and faces blurred through her mind. It might be Rose! Or Sarah Jane, lovely Sarah Jane. Or… Or Barbara and Ian and… and Susan. She might get to see her granddaughter again. Or the Ponds, oh the Ponds, her Ponds…!
“Shouldn’t you answer that, Doc?“ Graham asked.
Yaz and Ryan appeared at the top of the stairs. “Is that someone knocking?” Yaz asked, moving towards the door but the Doctor caught her arm.
“Let me, please, Yaz,“ she closed the distance between the door, hearing the clicking of a key being inserted into the lock on the other side. It swung open just as she reached for it.
“Amelia,“ the Doctor took a step back, voice betraying the wave of emotion that came crashing to the surface. The shock on her face turned to delight and she bounded forward and threw her arms around the taller woman, feet nearly leaving the ground.
The Doctor Stood leaning against his TARDIS, the wood warm under his back as he watched Amy knock on the door.
Getting inpatient, the Ginger knocked again and after waiting another few minuets, she grabbed her key from her pocket and unlocked the door.
Amy’s Eyes widened slightly at the sight of the new desktop, she scanned the room, spotting the people and was going to ask where the doctor was but cut herself off as the sound of her name drew her eyes over to the blonde woman.
“Docta’?” She half gasped, Hugging the woman back, staggering slightly to make sure they didn’t fall over.
“Wait… thats you?” Came Rory’s voice from behind the Scott.
“Course its me, who else would it be, Owner of a blue box and recognises Amy.” 11 tuts slightly and strolled forward to greet himself… well, Themself. “Hello, You… Me. I was here first you know, was gonna take the Ponds on a picnic at the bubbling mineral pools by the North Flower fields… Or did you Forget?” He almost whines, leaning against the door frame.
“Hey! why don’t you come with us?” Amy Beamed, pulling back to look at her, her hands on the woman’s shoulders. “And bring your friends! We should have more than enough!”
The Doctor had heard of the Murma alien race before, Aquata, their princess has been captured by fishermen. He had saw it happen with his own two eyes and no matter how much he screamed and shouted they weren’t giving in, the only reason that fishermen were on the look out for these ‘mermaid’ creatures was to send them off to a lab to be poked and prodded.
Using his sonic screwdriver to open the locked door to the lab he saw a big tank filled with water, Aquata inside as well. Walking up slowly to not scare her he waved softly and smiled, showing her he meant no threat.
“I’m the Doctor, you must be Aquata, I’ll get you out.. just give me a second to come up with a plan”
Aquata was SOafraid. She had never been so afraid like she was rightnow.
The ‘mer-child’, the Princess of the Murma, who lived at the bottom of the Atlantic, had been captured when she had went to go and have a look at the humans.
She knew she shouldn’t have, or if she did, she should have dried off and used the clothes that she hid, before going to explore… but no, she decided it would be wiser to watch from the water… bad choice.
Now she sat, eyes wide with fear, at the bottom of a large tank of water, air holes in the lid, and a big padlock on the front.
“Th-Thanks Mister! Just- just open the lid, i- if you help me out, we can just sneak out!” The child points at where the digital padlock was approximately.
Not many knew that the Murma also could walk on land when they dry off, but this man seemed reliable and he was willing to help save her from the humans. And if she dried herself off with her powers then he could sneak her out of here before the fishermen got back, without needing to carry her.
