“I remembered… I remembered when i saved you and when we almost rekindled our friendship.” He pushed his hands into his pockets as he studied her.
“Rassilon had tampered with my memories.”
“How do I know ya aren’t saying all of this to play games with me? Trust me, I want to believe ya, I really do.” Maybe some part of her did already believe him, after all, apart of her would always care. “Not gonna lie, I do miss ya.”
“Wait…why would Rassilon do that?” Though she didn’t doubt Rassilon would pull that kind of stunt…
“Well, Gee, I. Don’t. Know… Gosh, perhaps its because when we actually work together we are an unstoppable force? I mean he did choose ME to stick the DRUMS in my mind, that stupid signal that drove me insane every waking moment.” He practically deadpanned.
“Convince you, hmm?” He smirked, before walking over to stand in front of him.
“Im your Partner in Crime, We work better in a team, Together, i doubt you need any more convincing than that… because you, compared to him, know that.”
It seemed that this particular Master knew him, even without him having to say anything else. He certainly knew just how to get his attention, that’s for sure.
“It appears you know me better than I thought you would.” He couldn’t help but grin as he watched the other Time Lord.
“Alright, you’ve convinced me. Though, I’m surprised you were able to tell I wasn’t exactly him.” He pretended to think for a moment. “How did you know?”
“Firstly, Ive always know you, ever since the academy, secondly, You didn’t react how he would have, back when you first saw me and thirdly, well, its in your eyes…” he hummed and then tweaked his bowtie.
“I can tell you one thing i do know… You need me… Don’t deny it, youve been doing that for centuries…
You. Need. Me.
Admit it Doctor.”
“Do I now? Last thing I knew…. I didn’t need anyone, never have. What makes you think I need you?”
Maybe he did need his old friend but.. He simply wanted to hear what he had to say.
“Convince me.”
“Convince you, hmm?” He smirked, before walking over to stand in front of him.
“Im your Partner in Crime, We work better in a team, Together, i doubt you need any more convincing than that… because you, compared to him, know that.”
“Yes- But– Im actually here, willing to try. Okay? Im standing here, i came heremyself… because-”
He sighed out sharply. “Because you were right! okay! You and Missy… You were both right! She was right! I- I was wrong…” He grimaced…
He had always hated admitting that he had been wrong. But perhaps it was time to stand with the doctor.
She wasn’t sure what to think, quite possibly confused. What on earth happened that would have changed him? Considering just how stubborn the Time Lord was….
“What brought about this change? Not that I’m not thankful, but I’m curious, really.”
The Doctor wasn’t quite sure what to believe… Was this really the same Master she’d known before?
“I remembered… I remembered when i saved you and when we almost rekindled our friendship.” He pushed his hands into his pockets as he studied her.
“Okay… I understand that you don’t Trust me… But does that mean you’re not going to even try?”
“Trust you? I’m sorry but didn’t you try to kill me on multiple occasions?” Sure she usually trusted him in the past but could she now? “Kind of hard to trust ya after all that.”
“Yes- But– Im actually here, willing to try. Okay? Im standing here, i came heremyself… because-”
He sighed out sharply. “Because you were right! okay! You and Missy… You were both right! She was right! I- I was wrong…” He grimaced…
He had always hated admitting that he had been wrong. But perhaps it was time to stand with the doctor.
“Well, yes I know. Besides, technically, you are doing it yourself, dear~” Missy chuckled and took a small step back when she was done. “Look at you, being all fancy! That’s much better!”
The Master Chuckled at that and then touched his tie slightly. “I don’t see the point in this you know… Surely we could have come up with a better way to do this without having to schmooz with the ants…” He sighed.
Regeneration. A burst of golden energy to erase the you that you had been. Sure it was strange, frightening, but it was new. It was brilliant.
The falling bit, not so much.
Air whipped past as The Doctor fell further from her beloved blue box. Hands reached uselessly as though she could somehow stop it.
No, no, no, come back!
The Master was just having a wander. He had *somehow* survived from his run in with his older self, and he had somehow managed to stop the regeneration process…. Probably ended up only half regenerating and pushing the rest into a special container he had cooked up…
honestly he couldn’t recall right now, it was all a blur of fast memories.
Suddenly a light appeared in the sky above him and he paused mid stride to peer at it… only for his eye s to widen at the familiar shape of what he assumed was a Flying box… and he only knew one flying box.
“Doctor? What on earth are you doing now?!” Suddenly a figure started to fall and Koschei watched helplessly…. Trying to figure out here they would land….
“ I just woke up here. I thought my cousin Arcus put me here as one of his pranks” Torvic offers all the information he had really.
It was then Torvic spied his first human. Consnqincely it was his first alien too. He almost immediately put his free hand to his nose. Once he got close to one “Ew it stinks.”
“Yup, they all do, fascinating isn’t it” he comments almost sarcastically “also… they don’t understand Gallifreyan.” he gave him a mischievous grin and he opens the cafe door.
They could talk about the Humans and they would never know what they said.
“Now, do you want to go sit over there at that empty table,” he gestures at the one in the corner. “Or stand with me till i’ve got our drinks?”
