Somehow, the Master doesn’t miss a beat (hey, he’s always had excellent rhythm) when the Doctor springs this whimsical request. Mid-pouring of tea, he fluidly spins and gestures to her for attention.
“Well darling, you know that an actual living child requires regular maintenance, right? More than, say, a cat, or a spinning delivery bot head, or a cactus, or a Type-40 TARDIS that a certain someone else,” and he tugs on his own suit lapels, “regularly tends do. She’ll need food, and affection, and probably school of some kind, and next thing you know she’ll be dating, and acquiring moral principles, and asking you where babies come from. Can you feed and water a darling human girl with dedication?”
“I’ve had kids before Koschei…” Theta raised a brow at him, knowing that he knew that full well.
Tho he did have a point, it had been such a very long time since she had actually looked after a child…
Was she actually a child? Or was she an adult by human standards? She probably only just became an adult…
“Also I think she 21… or at least 18… Plus, I’ll have you there as well, right? Unless you don’t wanna… and- and that’s fine… I’ll figure it out somehow, it’s just, she’s never known her parents and apparently saying that ‘she had a great out look on life’ was the NICEST thing anyone had ever said to her… along side the fact she’s only had ONE gift her whole life… I mean how can someone only have ONE gift their entire life! Surly someone else was nice to her other than Julie of personnel…”
“Just so we’re clear, if I say ‘shut up’ and you say ‘make me’, I am instantly thinking about making out with you. Also just so we’re clear, if you say ‘shut up’ and I say ‘make me’, that is most definitely an invitation to make out with me.”

The Doctors eyes widen and she looks like a fish on dry land for a moment.
“Wait… do- do you mean me as well? You’d want to kiss me… you- you want me to kiss you??” She floundered, not really sure how to respond in this situation and settled for blushing dark red.
“I- I haven’t actually kissed anyone in this body before…”
Any smile that he had on his face, disappeared and hurt replaced that expression.
“Wha-…?” The last time he saw him, Koschei had left himself… saving his life…
“Well don’t look so offended,” the Master hissed. “You stole a TARDIS and left, how did you think I was going to feel about that?”
“Oh…. I…” he sighed and dragged a hand down his face when he realised what he was talking about.
“You mean back then… way back then…” a bitter laugh left his lips. He also knew he didn’t mean about the time he took Susan and ran… But the one BEFORE that, the first time, the one where he ran, and in Koschie’s opinion, never came back.
“I ran from my father.” He hoped that he wouldn’t ask him about it. “The second time, Susan contacted me and asked me to get her away from Gallifrey… I of course had not stolen a tardis the first time… that was the second time… i coudn’t find you the second time…”
He had wanted to take him, the first, he wasn’t in his right mind, that time he just needed to RUN.
The Master’s expression darkened even more at the story, leaving him half-growling, even if he wasn’t quite sure at what yet.
“You could have found me the first time,” he hissed sharply. “If you wanted to get away from him-… I would have gone with you. I’d been ready, just waiting for you to make the choice and come tell me. But you never did. And I stopped waiting.”
He closed his eyes, his face looking like he swallowed a lemon. “Fear And instincts are a powerful thing…” he mumbled softly.
Rubbing his eye, his shoulders slumped slightly. “Would you believe me if I confessed that I had tried to go back to get you once the fear passed and I realised where I was?” He laughed bitterly.
“I tried everyday for 2 years, then every second, then once a week, then I would try every so often… the stupid ship never took me back… then I tried a different date and I couldn’t find you…” he sighed.
The Doctor cant help but look at him wides eyed, in shock. He had been so sure that he had killed them all. That he couldn’t feel them in his mind…
Perhaps it was just trauma and the grief blocking it all off? Perhaps he was hallucinating the man in front of him.
“…I- I thought-…. But-….” He couldn’t form the words. His mind was racing and he couldn’t catch them.
“Yeah.”
The Master’s response was an angry snarl, fists clenched by his sides as he stared the Doctor in the face with a pain that was
decades old and too deep to hide burning in his eyes.
“Well, you thought wrong. But it’s still an accomplishment, isn’t it? Almost all of the Time Lords. Did you enjoy it, leaving me homeless?”
The Doctor flinched back almost violently and stepped backwards.
He didn’t know how to reply to that, of course he didn’t, he had NO CHOICE…
“I…. I had no choice… the planet… the people were dead no matter what I chose… only… one outcome the daleks are alive and the other… they are dead… I- I- I had too…” tears fell down his face as he stood on shaky legs, barely staying standing.
He had too, he had no choice. Murderer. Killer. Monster.
These words repeated themselves in his mind and he didn’t realise he had fallen to his knees as he zoned out, silent tears still falling.
The doctor Looks at him for a long moment and walks away from him without saying anything. Shrugging or pretending that he had no clue what he was talking about would just confirm it.
He Didnt NEED sleep.
“You used to be better at comebacks, too,” the Master commented, unimpressed, and followed him.
“Go on. Off to bed with you. The universe won’t explode while you sleep for a few hours.”
“Nope, not gonna happen.” He shook his head. Koschei would have to drag him to bed and then actually stay with him if he wanted him to sleep.
“Yes well, I suppose it’s a matter of you wanting a passable substitute, or the delicious genuine article that is me.”
Now might not be the most apt time to tell the Doctor that he’s been eating custard creams out of the TARDIS dispenser night and day, and this may be the reason for the slightest plumping of his midsection in past months … .
The Doctor chuckles.
“Don’t be jealous love, of course I want the genuine article.” She wanders over and wrapped her arms around his middle, Giving him a slight squeeze as she hugs him, before giving him a quick peck on the lips.
“Much more handsome and isn’t gone after one taste~” she winks.
@chiildrenxftime / Rose Tyler was found by a mad man, in a blue box …
“ Oh sorry, didn’t see you – ”
Caught short, not something the Doctor often faced nor lack of words …. But then, he hadn’t thought he’d cross her path, Rose Tyler. It would be his luck, running into her && him caught off guard, but he managed … offering her an apologetic smile, as he took a step back. Had to create distance, had to remain who he was to her … a stranger.
“ Sorry, again. Anyways are you alright, miss ?? ”
His smile remained friendly, as his hands hid behind his back, had to remain in character. If he didn’t want to disrupt the time line or male her follow him later, he had to keep up his front. Carry on, as he always would …
Rose was stranded.
The dimension button broke and she was on another planet… and she had no idea if she was in her universe…
On top of that, she NEEDED to find her Doctor. He was the ONLY one who could help her find out WHY she wasn’t ageing and still looked 20, 10 years after the last time she was left on that stupid beach.
“It’s- it’s fine… just, you know, stranded… alien planet… no way no home…” she laughed slightly, even tho she didn’t find it at all funny.
She sighed. “Sorry to keep you waiting… …wait, actually, you wouldn’t know where I could aquire a space shuttle… and in which direction The Milkyway is?” She grimaces at the thought of getting lost in space.
“Rose… Is that you?” Ten blinked in surprise. The last time he’d seen was….well a time he didn’t want to think about. “Oh Rose…. I hope you’re real..”
The blondes head shot up at the familiar voice and her eyes widened.
“Doctor!” She practically shouted.
She had jumped from the other universe to this one, wanting to find the doctor, so that he could help her figure out WHY she wasn’t aging and WHY she still looked 20 after 10 years of being in the other universe.
At the moment she had been frantically trying to fix the teleport button that she had, but it was fried and she was on another planet, stuck and wasn’t even SURE if it was the right dimension.
She sprung up and rushed over to him, wrapping her arms around him, hiding her face as the stress caught up to her and she started to cry.
The TimeLord scrunched up her face slightly. “I have no idea who Jessica is, but I’m The Doctor, a TimeLord, a highly advanced race, with a VERY strong mind and one who, when dies changes their face, this is my 13th face and my 10th face looked EXACTLY like you.”
“The reason I asked you the first question, was mainly to prevent paradoxical events happening, Incase you WERE my past self… time travel, complicated, hate paradoxes… blah.”
Kilgrave believed in a lot of things, but Time Lords? What the hell was that? It sounded like she was just talking out her ass. She also seemed to have a pretty big ego, not as big as his, of course.
“Only idiots have titles, you know that right? and The Doctor? What kind of bloody name is that?” Kilgrave shook his head at her, “It sounds like are talking nonsense. So I have to ask, have you gone mad?”
He started to circle her in attempt to get a good look at her. “So you’re telling me I look exactly like you, hm? Well I assure you, I am certainly no Doctor.” He muttered before stopping in front of her. “Since you were kind enough to introduce yourself, I will return the favor, despite your rudeness. My name is Kilgrave.”
“Hmm, at least that’s a better name then Kristco…” she muses.
“And I don’t care if you believe me or not, I told you who I was and why I approached you… the rest is up to you… but I’m gonna go that way,” she points down the path that had her TARDIS at the end. “And if you want to follow be my guest, but either way I don’t care.”
If the man was trouble, then she could just throw him out into space if needed.
