The first story in The Missy Chronicles is so good!

It takes place very soon after the Master regenerates and she heads off to a gentleman’s (only) club her previous incarnations frequented, and they throw her out.

From there, she sets about getting her revenge in the most gloriously macabre ways – raining blood from the sky over London, leaving a man tied to a train track to be run over by his own train… after marrying him. Just Missy things, y’know?

She meets her first ‘companion’ too, a former slave named Saffron who has done what she’s had to in order to become free and, with Missy’s aid, poisons the slave master and all the other men at the club. Saffron is the one who comes up with the name Missy, she decides she loves it.

Missy leaves one person alive though, as she’s been formulating a plan on the side which could use him: Doctor Skarosa.
