~Headcanon: The Doctor~

After seeing a post, which I agree with fully, I want to say that, my Doctor loves jack, either it’s deeply like a friend or if it’s a verse where they are together, then deeply like a lover.

And he appreciates him fully for he is the only one who is constant, because of his immortality.

After the thing with the master he realised that he wasn’t fair with him, which is why he invited him to travel with him…

But Jack has a life now and Torchwood needs him… which the Doctor understands.

But my Doctor makes it clear that he is a phone call away and that he can call him if he needs him.

~Headcanon – Owen Harper~

Owen behaves the way he does with Tosh, because he doesn’t want her to like him, he’s a bastard and a twat and she deserves someone better than him.

he’s protecting her because he loves her, she so kind and beautiful, he’s not good for her.

So, this is stupid, but someone wrote me today, saying the Master’s birth name was “Koschei”, which I instinctly declined.

They then looked it up and referred to novels treating the name as his real name. There are also the Missy Chronicles though, suggesting their real name is 32 characters long.

As long as I’ve known of the name “Koschei”, I just assumed it’d be a nickname like “Theta Sigma”. If the Doctor wouldn’t give away his real name, why would the Master, as it seems to be incredibly important and personal and something that probably gives others power over you? I kept on thinking the Master would never reveal that name.

Now I’m confused. Because I talked to friends on Twitter and they were all like “always thought it was his real name”, and I mean, Romana and other Time Lords share their names as well, so……. WHAT do my lore experts say, help me out please!!

I treat it as a truncation of the real name, because yeah, I always thought the real name of a Time Lord was exceptionally long.  Add the fact that Koschei is the name of a God of Death in Slavic folklore and the Master proclaims himself in dominion over death and I really do think it’s a nickname or a shortened version of his real name, yes.

I’ve also always considered it a shortened version, and one that he likes because of the legend of Koschei the Deathless. Because Timelords don’t give out their real names except in very rare circumstances, so it stands to reason that their Academy names are Gallifreyan ‘slang’ that students and timelords commonly use.

You know…

I think I’m gonna take my season 10 simm Master, And Make his personality more like his classic selves. More sophisticated, classy (not that he isn’t) he’ll be more – knoladge is power sort of villain, stealing high security library books and device of high knoladge.

Tea never coffee.

(Unless it’s black)

No drums, More genius, less madness.

(Unless needed to scare people)

I also love @masterfulxrhythm disability headcanon. And if she allows it I would love to use it for my post season 10 verse. (The one where he survives and has damaged nerves from the stabbing and pain in his body, especially when it’s cold.)

The doctor, with the help of the TARDIS has created a device, which is an ear piece (bluetooth type) and lets him connect telepathically to the TARDIS camera system and project it into his mind.

Not a great way to see but one of his many ways to get around his blindness.

Okay unpopular opinion time.

As somebody who knows a blind-from-birth person, it’s kinda pissing me off that people are acting like the Doctor going blind is tragic. It might suck for him for awhile because he’s not used to living that way, but ffs if he’s taught how to do things the blind way as opposed to the sighted way and borrowed other people to be his eyes when vision is necessary then not much would have to change.

If the Doctor can memorize a map in a few seconds, I doubt it’d take him long to learn just about every form of Braille or raised reading material for blind people all over the universe.

Imagine if the TARDIS made him a sonic white cane that could do all the cool stuff his sonic screwdriver could do and more. Imagine it having a “homing” signal where the cane will gently tug him back to the TARDIS if there’s danger or if he gets ‘lost’ on an adventure. (And imagine him having to resist it and be all “be quiet, you!”)

Disability doesn’t have to be tragic, y’all.
