Oh no, the kissing wasn’t going to get old, and Jack grinned into that kiss, wrapping his arms around her waist and lifted her up off the ground slightly. But as much as he was enjoying the kiss, he knew that if this was going to be anything more, they were gonna need to talk.
So he set her back down, still keeping her close, and smiled. “Been waiting to do that for a while?”
She was definably blushing. There was no doubt about it. “Well… yes… 900 years stuck on a planet and then a few after that make you think about life…” she smiled sheepishly, hands still clutching the lapels of his coat.
She clears her throat slightly. “Anyways… i think we should sneak off and go find somewhere to talk and get a cuppa… what do you say?” she asked him tilting her head slightly.
“Well, you got there in the end, I guess,” he says as he laughs brightly and leans in to kiss the spot between her eyebrows. He then pulls away completely, but only so he can offer her his arm. “That sounds like a pretty good plan. Got any place in mind?”
“Not particular… i was just gonna say we go to the tardis kitchen and brew a pot… but… i guess going to a cafe in Paris might be nice as well… hmm? How about it? 1920′s? And perhaps a Winter stroll under the Eiffel tower afterwards?” The doctor smiled.
Jack rolled his eyes and reached in to get the sonic before starting to zap the chains open. “Well, at least your captors are as inept as you are. I managed to get a schematic of the place, so assuming you remember where you parked, we should be able to get out of here in one piece.”
“As long as they didn’t move it, it should still be standing on the lower deck.” He sighed slightly as he rubbed his raw wrists, he would have to deal with that later, once they were back on the ship.
“They don’t tend to go down there… I got caught by the maintenance staff.”
Jack stared at him incredulously for a second, then sighed as he handed back the sonic. “Of course you did. Only you would be captured by the janitor.”
He punched a button on his wrist strap and up popped a hologram of the facility. “So we just need to go down four decks. Easy, right? How do you feel about ventilation shafts?”
“At this point… ill go for anything.” He told him with a slight sigh.
The Doctor was tired, and sleeping hanging from chains was not comfortable… He just wants to get back, have a cuppa tea and relax… Perhaps watch a movie.
Their interrogation methods were not pleasant either.
Jack snorted when he heard the order. It instantly reminded him of old friends, two particular ones that he had travelled with, and wasn’t that just what he needed, a reminder of happier times that were now lost to him? He shook his head slightly, then swallowed down half his bourbon and turned to the brown haired stranger to strike up a conversation.
And instantly started gaping instead.
“Doctor?!”
The Doctor looks up at the familiar voice and then beams as he sees the familiar face that it belonged too.
“Jack!” He Rejoiced, practically jumping over to hug him like an over excited puppy.
“We’ve been looking for you! We went back, to find you and you weren’t at the station and Time And Space is a verybig place when trying to find someone without a tracker. Add the fact you also have a Vortex manipulator on top of that, so it was twice as hard…” he rambled.
The Doctor’s loud exclamation made Rose look over to them and then before anyone could blink she had rushed over to the pair and wrapped her arms around the Captain’s waist. “Jack!”
As the Doctor pelted into him, Jack was still a little to confused to completely process what was going on. They’d been looking for him? Well, that sure was news to him, but frankly, he’d take it. Any bit of good news was welcome, and he was getting utterly fed up with his current lot in life.
It took only a quick second before he was hugging back – only to immediately let go in favour of hugging Rose so hard, he picked her right up off the ground.
“You were what? My wrist strap – it burned out the second I ‘ported off the space station. Wound up in Cardiff, 19th century,” he said, as if that explained everything.
Rose Laughed happily as she was picked up off the ground and kissed Jacks cheek. “Oh gosh, we have missed you. I’m sorry about him, Jack, i have no idea what he was thinking!” Rose apologised when she was set back on the ground.
Rose smacked the Doctor’s arm at the knowledge of where jack had went.
“OW!”
“See! I toldyou we needed to check the 19th century again, but nooo, you were all – ‘Oh no, Jack wouldn’t be there, not good old Jack, thats not a very fun era to be for him, Jack would probably prefer the future if he went somewhere.’” She quotes tutting and rolls her eyes.
She then smiled at Jack again, ignoring the Doctors whining, who was rubbing his arm.
“But never mind that, Come on, Grab your drink, Doctor, Get ours and lets all go back and sit at the table. We have so much to catch up on!” Rose beamed cheekily, grabbed Jacks hand and practically pulled him back over to the table she was sat at, leaving the Doctor to sigh fondly and smirk at jack, before grabbing their drinks, paying for them and joining them at the table.
“So! How are you?” Rose asked Jack, sitting down in the middle of the curved booth, making it obvious that she wanted both men on either side of her.
The thing about Cardiff – everything ended up here eventually. You wouldn’t think it, looking at the place, but looks were ever deceiving, as Jack was discovering lately. Well, he knew that perfectly well, he was just being reminded of it lately.
Like the flash of black leather that passed by him as he was working on an engine.
“Doc?”
The Doctor Turned back around to face his other companion in the Tardis Doorway. He raised a brow in surprise.
“Hmm, Something wrong Jack? I thought you were working on that engine of yours… id have invited you to come along, but you seemed quite.. focused.”
He cleared his throat slightly. “Do you want to come along?”
“Well, if it’s not too much of an imposition,” he teased, wiping the grease from his hands on a nearby rag. “It’s not like this engine is going anywhere. You, on the other hand, mister, are always running around. Definitely time to take me with you.”
“Nope, not at all.” he grinned. “Id love a bit of company, me. Im just going for a wander, to see the sights… didn’t get to do that last time.”
“Careful, Doc, I may see how serious you are about that promise,” Jack smirks, but he’s not about to ruin the moment – nor the hand holding – with doubt.
They head outside and Jack takes them to just inside the edge of the oxygen shield. He can feel the air getting a little thinner there, and he was actually quite happy to hear the Doctor actually show concern for his welfare. No need to push and see how sincere it was.
But as he stands there, hand in hand with the Doctor, and staring out into the vastness of space, he feels incredibly small and insignificant. Just what he’s looking for. “Do you ever just stop and look? Even for a few seconds?”
The Doctor was quite glad that they were still inside the air shield, tho he would have preferred if they were a little more inside.
He hummed softly, looking up at the large vastness of space.
“Now And then, but not as often as I would like… I enjoy sitting in the doors of the TARDIS as she drifts in space…”
“You should do it more often,” he said, still looking out at the stars and galaxies and worlds in front of them. “I used to do this as a kid, go stand on the beach, let the ocean wash over my feet, and stare at the stars, wishing I could get there one day. Kinda didn’t expect to get there this way, or for this long, but it could be worse, I suppose.”
“I mean… we could go to a beach and stargaze if you want to… im sure the old girl will let us have one trip without taking us somewhere else.” he smiled softly.
“But… you want to know a secret?” He looked at him. “This isn’t any old astroid or any old place…”
He points out in front of him. “Its the Medusa Cascade.… Its where…” He licked his lips a little nervously.
“well… its where i carved my Name into the stars…” He told him his finger tracing the faint ‘lines’ of ancient letters.
@canspotatimeagent – I just got an idea 😀 -What if it the city 13 fell into was Cardiff and Jack saw her fall.-
She wasnt sure what happened… One moment she had been falling the next she ‘awoke’ disorientated… Did she fall asleep? did she black out when she crashed?… Wait… crashed… crashing… Falling!
She sat up fast almost crashing into the figure that was next to her… The doctor grabbed her head and made a pained noise as her ears began to ring… damn she felt dizzy…
-was the person speaking to her?-
-Oh yeah… she was a woman now…- -thats was new…-
She closed her eyes again and could feel herself swaying. Not good… she didn’t feel too good…
She didn’t realise she was falling forward, till she blacked out again.
–Brilliant–
Jack had this feeling.
He couldn’t quite explain it, he just had a sense that something unusual and potentially life-changing was going to happen today. Okay, it happened pretty often, if he was honest, but this just felt… different.
And when he glanced up at the sky and saw an oddly shaped speck falling towards the Earth, well, he knew he’d been right.
He booked it towards where the figure was headed, running as fast as he could. If the person was an alien, they just might survive that fall, which also meant he would be the best person to greet them. If they were human… well, still better he was the person to find them than anyone else.
He found the person at the end of an alley, looking much better than he was expecting. He knelt down beside her, pressing two fingers to the side of her neck to find a pulse. Not only did he find a pulse, he could feel the distinctive beat of twin hearts.
“Doctor?!” he said – but then she sat up, nearly knocking him over, and instantly blacking out again.
Fantastic.
He swept her up in his arms, an easy feat given how small she was this time around, and carried her off to the SUV to give her a more comfortable place to wake up.
The next time The Doctor woke up…. She had no idea where she was.
Her vision was a tiny bit blurry and her head was hurting… Like she had too much to drink the night before… But she KNEW she didn’t drink anything…
No.. she had just regenerated… Wait! She regenerated!
Sitting up, she grabbed her head when she realised she sat up too fast and groaned softly. Thankfully this time she didn’t black out and after blinking a few times she looked around the room.
She was sitting on a couch… But whereexactly, she had no clue…
Then she remembered something else…. “…Jack….?” she called out, wondering where the immortal was.

Send ‘What happened?’ for a starter of my muse injured @canspotatimeagent
The Doctor was standing at the sink, hand under the running water. Her head turned at the question, her eyes pinched slightly, giving away the pain she was actually in.
“Wha-? Oh… i… i was trying to make some salad with dinner…” She knew that she could have just asked the tardis to do it, but she was in the mood to cook… and that included the cutting of tomatoes.
Hence the sliced hand when the knife slipped and she tried to catch it. Stupid she knew, trying to catch a knife in midair, but she had done it and now she paid with blood.
@canspotatimeagent – Liked for a starter. ((Whoo! i really missed RPing with you :3))
Grinning, Koschei poked his head out of the short crate that was his father’s TCapsule. Stealing it had been so worth it, even if he gets caught when he gets back and gets punished…. probably into a new regeneration….
The TimeTot (because he only just passed 100 and had not even graduated yet) Climbed out and walked casually to the corner of the alleyway, as if he didn’t just climb out a smallish wooden crate, which he really wouldn’t be able to fit comfortably…
“Earth… really? Why here of all places? Surely that carnival planet Smorra would have been better.” Koschei huffed.
