I’m gonna be an asshole about this but yeah, I need to put my foot down.
If you push your headcanons on a mun regarding their muse, I’m not going to be nice about it. I understand there are fandom interpretations of certain characters, and that’s fine, but I consider roleplay to be similar to acting – each interpretation is different, and based on the mun’s views of the character. So the mun is entitled to have their OWN headcanons (that many have likely PAINSTAKINGLY CONSTRUCTED) that they will use to craft their interpretation. These include headcanons about a character’s sexuality, race, and personal experiences – and the list goes on. Sometimes, even canon is not kind to its characters, and we as roleplayers want to experiment with different possibilities. So…
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON’T DISREGARD THAT. IT’S GOING TO LOOK BAD ON YOU AS A ROLEPLAYER AND ALSO MAKE THE OTHER MUN NOT WANT TO ROLEPLAY WITH YOU.
In other words, don’t assume that a mun agrees with your view of a character; especially if it’s THEIR character, because they might not, and it’s a bit rude to assume otherwise. It proves that you did not read their bio, or at least skim it.
Every roleplayer knows that canon characters have a specific characterization in their canon, but this is not necessarily something that every person who consumes that piece of media (and wants to roleplay the character) agrees with.
Fanon interpretation does not necessarily equal canon, just as neither fanon nor canon can equal a roleplayer’s interpretation. THIS IS UP TO THE ROLEPLAYER TO DECIDE FOR THEIR INTERPRETATION, NOT YOU.
“Ooof!” Jack grunted, stumbling a step as he took on the unexpected additional weight, but righting himself quickly enough so they didn’t go toppling. “Well, hello to you too. Missed you too. How was London? Aside from hugely boring without me.”
“You’re right about the boring part, there were no alien invasions.” she joked before hopping down and giving him a real hug.
“I also managed to get those books you’ve been talking about… i know you didn’t ask me to get them, but you said they were alien and out of their time, so i had a talk with the owner and managed to get them for a cheaper price – the’re in my backpack.”
She wasn’t about to own up just how much money she hashed out to get the 7 alien books for him, that were also from the 50th century. She also had a feeling that 3 of the books were children books.
“See?! London’s got nothing on Cardiff,” Jack laughed, squeezing her tight.
“Did you really get them? Show me show me!” He was suddenly an excitable five year old, wanting to see the presents that had been brought back from a far away place. Then again, Jack knew that particular book seller, and he was pretty amazed that she had managed to get him to part with the books at any price.
With a Laugh, Archieva took off her backpack and set it on the ground before taking out the books. They were of all different sizes and thickness.
“I was honestly surprised that they were Paperbacks. I would have thought that they would use holograms or some other stuff that they invented in the future.”
She passed him one titled ‘Earth’s colony world’s – Late 50th century beginning of the 51st.’ “Honestly, i almost couldn’t keep myself from reading them, especially this one. To think that we humans, with our tiny brains, actually go out there! Among the Stars and Colonise Planets, so many in fact that they need a whole book to categories them Alphabetically.” she beamed excitedly.
If only Archi’ could actually see what it was like up there one day.
The Master sits grandiosely slackened, legs crossed, arms behind his head, lounging defiantly in the personal space of the Doctor’s TARDIS, all a calculated maneuver of appearing independent and invincible.
All a facade, for a mind as permeable as soil to water. He could not stand apart from the only true friend he ever had if he tried.
But he will try, anyway, because the Master tilts at windmills.
“I robbed you of your latest human pet in the most violently cruel way possible, all to foil your plot to convert Missy into some diluted goody-goody version of herself, and you still come back for more? Doctor, I never knew you to be a masochist … persecution complex, maybe. Savior complex, definitely. But this? How d’you know I won’t exact excruciating vengeance upon you, eh?”

The doctor is stood, facing away from his oldest friend, Fiddling with buttons and dials, as he thinks about what he wants to say.
“Yes, i guess you did… And as upset as i am about Bill, because im very upset about that, she was a girl with massive potential and and was getting good grades under my tutoring….” He sighed “As upset as i am about that, im also a sentimentalidiot, who desperately wants his best friend back…”
“Call it what you will, but Perhaps i am a masochist…” He shrugged, knowing full well that he didn’t really want to even regenerate when the time came.
“Tho, what you did do, was open my eyes to the fact that i was going about it compleatly the wrong way… I shouldnt have had her in the vault all this time, people DONT learn through isolation, you just wallow in it… no… Traveling would have worked much better, practical lessons, where she would learn by herself… learn from her own mistakes and change on herown… Because… im not god and neither you nor Missy need FIXING…” they were perfect the way they were and it took him TOO LONG to realise that.
He was angry at himself that he didn’t realise what he had been doing to the woman, that he had been unknowingly cruel and un-doctor like.
The Master feigns astonishment, but draws close to the Doctor, leaning down, peering down at she who is at last shorter.
“I don’t doubt you could disarm a Dalek Fleet with your bare teeth and, maybe, a box of toothpicks and a jar of olives, or some other utterly incomprehensible, implausible combination of ingredients, but you don’t get to do that this time.”
He gathers her closer, tugging her near by the suspender straps.
“The pleasure of protection gets to be mine. I get to be the beast who paces in circles around you, so you can remain true to your quest for hope and innocence.”

On one hand… The Doctor couldn’t help but POUT at his reply. Because he was right, she was good at that and she hated being told what she could and couldn’t do…
But, On the other hand… She felt like melting in adoration.
Her eyes widened slightly the words that left his lips, Making her love for him grow even more… was that even possible? She already felt like she was bursting a the seams with the love she felt towards this beautiful man… but she guess she had been wrong, because she loved him even more now.
The saying – You save everyone, but who will save you? – Popped into her head as she listened to him and she couldn’t help, but cup his cheeks and pull him down into a sweet kiss.
“Thank you.” She whispered against his lips, pressing her forehead against his.
“i can’t do simple hygiene bc im depressed”
that’s easy babe! just do simple hygiene
Y’all always have to wallow in your misery instead of considering maybe, just maybe, the encouragement people like this give is just telling people to do one, easy thing instead of worrying about a whole routine. Can’t make yourself shower? That’s fine, just brush your teeth. Don’t have the energy to do your hair? Okay, just brush your teeth.
Making 1 small change that can start improving your mood leads to other small changes. When I couldn’t make myself shower I would make sure I changed underwear every day. And then I started using baby wipes to keep myself fresh. And then I worked my way back to trying to take showers every day. My record might not be perfect but I’m getting better.
It’s really unhealthy to keep the mindset that anyone who isn’t miserable and suffering under their mental illness or emotional problems doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Maybe they’ve just grown to learn how to love and care for themselves in spite of what they’re going through.
People want to get mad at Gay Jesus for giving tips he’s probably used himself to get over depression. All people see is gays being their entertainment and forget they’re fucking human. Depression and every other kind of mental or emotional thing you can think of affects marginalized people exponentially for every level of marginalization their identity can claim. Queer people almost universally have experienced depression or anxiety because of their identity. You don’t think a gay man this flamboyant has faced shit???
He knows what he’s talking about. Don’t over simplify what he said because you want to downplay it. Overcoming step one is always the way to get through things. This is great advice.
I gotta add, he’s also giving the most useful advice.
Your teeth are one of those things that will literally cost thousands of dollars and disintegrate if not cared for. You can put off washing your face, you can put off showering, but if you stop taking care of your teeth, your ass will get kicked for it down the road.
So not only is he giving GOOD DEPRESSION ADVICE (”If you can’t handle all the things, it’s okay, just handle one thing consistently and start there”) he’s also recommending the RIGHT thing to consistently handle, so that your overall health and quality of life won’t take a nose-dive down the line.
Horsehead: A Wider View : Combined image data from the massive, ground-based VISTA telescope and the Hubble Space Telescope was used to create this wide perspective of the interstellar landscape surrounding the famous Horsehead Nebula. Captured at near-infrared wavelengths, the region’s dusty molecular cloud sprawls across the scene that covers an angle about two-thirds the size of the Full Moon on the sky. Left to right the frame spans just over 10 light-years at the Horsehead’s estimated distance of 1,600 light-years. Also known as Barnard 33, the still recognizable Horsehead Nebula stands at the upper right, the near-infrared glow of a dusty pillar topped with newborn stars. Below and left, the bright reflection nebula NGC 2023 is itself the illuminated environs of a hot young star. Obscuring clouds below the base of the Horsehead and on the outskirts of NGC 2023 show the tell-tale far red emission of energetic jets, known as Herbig-Haro objects, also associated with newborn stars. via NASA
